Our goal was to take a completely headless approach for our client, we decided on Wagtail, thanks to the possibility to implement a headless content API and still use a familiar admin content panel, which we then further developed with various features. In addition, our developers are experts with Django and love it for its fast and straightforward architecture.
We made various adjustments to Wagtail, which was easy for our developers to understand thanks to the familiar Django logic. In addition, we relied heavily on headless logic and tried to structure the content in such a headless way that we could use this data flexibly and freely in our custom NextJS frontend.
All animations and content come from Wagtail and the challenge for us was to keep the CMS functionalities fully flexible. We succeeded.
All entities like events, press releases, blog articles, pages, products, descriptions are structured in the CMS and can therefore be rendered flexibly and design-independent in the frontend.
