Founders and Survivors
Founders & Survivors is a partnership between academics and archivists who seek to record the population of Tasmania, piecing together the stories of convicts who migrated to Van Diemen’s Land in the 19th century.
In designing their logo, we wanted to reflect the historical significance of the project in a way that holds up in a modern context. The result – a clean and classic typographic logo that sits nicely on the textural background we used throughout their website.
The Founders & Survivors site houses the documentation of previous and ongoing research, as well as a dashboard for volunteers to track the progress of their contributions to the project.
