Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity, providing information, support and services to people across the country. They needed to rebuild their website so that people could find the right information and support more easily, particularly as demand for their services had increased. The website is often the first place someone turns when they are looking for help, so clarity, accessibility and ease of use were critical.
We restructured the site from the ground up, using user research to simplify journeys and make key information easier to find. The new site brings together advice, support services, campaigns, events and personal stories in a clear and accessible structure. Beat’s team can manage and update content across the site, ensuring that information stays current and that new campaigns and resources can be published quickly.
Wagtail was a strong fit because it supports large, content-heavy websites with complex information structures while still being easy for non-technical teams to use. Flexible page building tools allow Beat’s team to create and update content as their services evolve, while maintaining a consistent and accessible user experience across the site.
