The Charles Darwin Foundation has been a leading environmental research organisation in the Galápagos since 1959, and they needed a website that could better tell the story of their work and support donations from an international audience. This project mattered because the site plays an important role in communicating their scientific work and funding conservation.
We designed and built a new website that combines beautiful imagery, storytelling and a clear donation journey, while also making sure the site works well in areas with low bandwidth. The project included content migration, donation platform integration and building a flexible structure for their research, news and conservation programmes.
We love using Wagtail for content-heavy charity websites like this because it gives teams the flexibility to manage stories, research and campaigns, while keeping the site accessible, fast and easy to maintain.
